What separates a fight night from a show
A real card has a referee, judges, a clock and a result nobody knows in advance. Fighters are matched by weight, the rounds are scored, and a bout can end early because someone was caught clean. Nothing about it is rehearsed, and the crowd reacts to the fight rather than to a cue.
The simplest test before you buy is whether the venue publishes a card for the night you are going. Patong Boxing Stadium posts its own poster for each announced night, with the date printed on it, and those posters are what the schedule page on this site shows.
Where it is, and how you get there
The stadium is on Sai Nam Yen Road, a few minutes' walk from Bangla Road, with parking at the stadium for cars and motorbikes, and the doors open at 19:30. If you are staying in Patong, Kata or Karon, the free shared van collects you from your hotel and brings you back afterwards when you add it to your booking.
That matters more than it sounds at nine at night in Phuket. Getting a taxi back from an unfamiliar road, after a show, in a queue of people doing the same thing, is the part of the evening travellers complain about most.
What you pay, and what is in the price
There are two tickets and one price each, the same every night and the same for every age. RINGSIDE at 1,800 THB is a seat at the edge of the ring. STADIUM at 1,500 THB has no assigned seat but a view of the whole ring; a child pays the same as an adult on either ticket, and an infant on a lap needs no ticket at all.
Every ticket includes a stadium shirt, collected on the night. Seats are not picked on the website: staff assign RINGSIDE seats after booking and you learn yours when you present the voucher at the entrance.
- RINGSIDE 1,800 THB — a seat, close enough to hear the corner
- STADIUM 1,500 THB — no assigned seat, the whole ring in view
- Children pay the same price as adults on both tickets
- A stadium shirt with every ticket
- Free shared hotel van in Patong, Kata and Karon
Buying direct, and why the price is the price
Book on this site and the ticket comes from the stadium itself. You pay the published price, your voucher is emailed the moment the payment lands, and the phone number on the page reaches the team that runs the gate: +66 80 535 4042.
A ticket bought on the street can be perfectly genuine, but the price is whatever the seller decides, and if the date or the name is wrong there is no email to check it against. Whatever you buy, keep the confirmation and check the date before you travel.
Choosing your night
Fights run Monday to Saturday and the stadium is closed on Sunday. Nights with a published poster are marked on the booking calendar; the rest of the fight days can still be booked up to a year ahead, and the card for those is announced closer to the date.
Tickets can be moved to another night before the original show date, but not on the day itself. Cancel up to one day before the show date and the ticket amount is refunded in full (an online booking fee is not); from the show date onwards nothing is refunded. Choosing a night early in your trip leaves room to move it if the weather or a flight changes your plans.
Questions people ask
Is Muay Thai in Patong worth it for a first-time visitor?
Most people who have never seen Muay Thai live say the atmosphere, not the technique, is what stays with them: the sarama music, the wai khru before the bell and a stadium reacting together. If you want to be close enough to hear the corner shouting instructions, take RINGSIDE.
Do I need to book in advance?
You can book any fight day up to a year ahead, and booking early is the only way to be sure of a RINGSIDE seat on a busy night. Payment is online, and the voucher arrives by email straight away.
Can I bring children?
Yes. A child pays the same price as an adult on both tickets, and an infant on a lap needs no ticket. The stadium is loud, so bring ear protection for small children if they are sensitive to noise.
